About the Role
Dk is happy to be working with a well respected housing association who is seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives across high-risk residential buildings. The successful manager will be overseeing fire safety, building compliance, and resident engagement, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and Social Housing Act.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of Building Safety Act requirements, ensuring safety cases are compliant and up-to-date.

Manage and maintain high-risk buildings in line with safety regulations, coordinating inspections, maintenance, and safety repairs.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including local authorities and fire services, to ensure safe building management.

Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to building and fire safety.

Drive resident engagement, ensuring effective communication and addressing safety concerns promptly.

Manage budgets and ensure accurate reporting of building safety-related costs.
Essential Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years' experience in fire safety management or fire engineering

Relevant qualifications, including a Level 4 or diploma in Fire Safety, and experience in building fire safety systems

Proven ability to work within tight guidelines, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Strong networking skills and experience working with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies
Desirable
-
Degree in Construction, Building Safety, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

Qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IFE Level 3/4, or a management qualification (CMI Level 3/4).

Membership in relevant bodies like IFE, IFSM, or IOSH.
