Credit Control and Billings Manager

Our client, a family run business who specialise in construction and installation services, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller and Billings Manager to join an existing finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control function and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts whilst monitoring scheduled billings and sales certificates received for the business payments.

Experienced use of Sage is required and a knowledge of Construct system would be ideal

Duties will include..

  • Contacting customers regarding overdue payments using phone /emails.
  • Preparing and processing payment applications for ongoing contracts ready for submission in line with the scheduled billing requirements
  • Preparation/monitoring of spreadsheets showing all applications issued and all outstanding payment certificates /Payments
  • Setting up of the projects on internal systems
  • Assisting the Finance Director with other accounts based general duties
  • Preparation/monitoring of debtor’s report with detailed status of all monies owed

Skills and knowledge required..

  • Proven experience in a construction industry environment specifically within credit control and billings - 2 years (required)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers
  • Experience and competency in using Sage
  • Working experience of Construct system
  • Advanced Excel knowledge essential

Working Hours

  • Full-time – 35 hours per week
  • 9am – 5pm (1 Hour lunch)

Salary

£30,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year depending on experience
