Job Summary:

ORB Recruitmentare supporting a client who are a leader in the UK district heating industry. They are looking for a hands-onProject Managerto take ownership of their site in Bristol. Accountable to the Contracts Manager, this role is key to the successful delivery of mechanical and civil projects installing District Heating.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the plan, delivery and execution of projects assigned to their portfolio. Minimising project risk and maximising delivery to ensure that the project is delivered on time, budget and to plan. You will be someone who knows and understands contracts, and certainly someone who gets the job done!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage project teams from design through to commissionin
• Oversee site personnel, conduct performance reviews, and manage client relationships
• Develop and implement project delivery strategies, including resource allocation and program management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Identify and mitigate project risks, manage budgets, and resolve issues
• Maintain high client satisfaction and quality standards

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in managing construction projects, ideally in district heating
• Strong understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental management
• Knowledge of construction regulations and traffic management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Projects) and Microsoft Office
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor)

Desirable:

Essential SMSTS, CSCS, Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor

Desirable- Project/Contract Management qualification or professional body membership, Traffic Management
