Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to across our operations. This position is vital to maintaining a safe working environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, particularly during the installation of solar panels.

Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to minimize risk.

Provide health and safety training and guidance to employees and subcontractors.

Investigate any incidents or accidents and report findings, including recommendations for preventing future occurrences.

Ensure that all safety equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.

Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices, ensuring the company’s policies reflect current standards.

Liaise with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Prepare and submit health and safety reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
-
Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sector but not essential.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those related to construction and electrical installations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate others.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
