Abatec are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with a background of delivering waste water projects including treatment plants/pump stations to join our client, a well-known contractor within the utilities sector. This position will be responsible for looking after a specific framework workstream with schemes ranging in value from £200k to £6m. This is a great opportunity to join a well established business, with strong potential for further career progression. Our client’s current sites are based throughout South Wales, with HQ just outside of Cardiff. This role can be split across site, office & home.
As Project Manager you will:
* Manage projects and their delivery times, incorporating safety, quality, cost and the environment.
* Act as a lead, setting the example and encouraging staff.
* Ensure compliance with company regulations and relevant legislation.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders within the business.
* Be responsible for best value and commercial viability of bids
* Liaise/meet with Designers, Local Authorities, Environmental Agency etc.
* Be responsible for attending monthly project meetings on site.
Our client requires a Project Manager with:
* A background of working direct for a Utilities/Water provider on multi-disciplinary projects.
* Experience working on waste water schemes.
* A good understating of construction health & safety protocols i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
* CSCS Contract Management Card.
* HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Full driving license to travel between sites.
Salary and benefits include:
* £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
