Salary: £25 - £30k depending on experience (pro-rata)
Working hours: 8 hours per week to be agreed (to be worked between 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday)
About the role
Our client, KG Electricals, is growing! They are looking for a fantastic, part-time bookkeeper to join their team, supporting their financial operation.
Purpose of job is to manage the day-to-day aspects of the company’s financial operations, from the sales and purchase ledgers to the daily cash postings and bank reconciliations. You’ll be responsible for completing our necessary returns and preparing information for our accountant.
This is a great opportunity for a bookkeeper or accounts assistant looking to work around other commitments.
Main Duties:
To be responsible for managing the internal finance function within the company
Take the initiative to continually review with your manager, work processes and controls, to find better and more efficient ways of working

About you
Essential
1. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
2. Familiarity with finance regulations such as VAT and CIS
3. A proficient user of QuickBooks
4. Experience of payroll processing (ideally both sub-contractors and employees)
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and financial software
6. Excellent organisation and time management skills
7. Proven skills in problem solving
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
10. Highly developed communication skills for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
Desirable
1.Experience in the electrical or construction industry
2. Experience in a similar role at another company
3. Relevant accounts qualifications
