This leading General contractor are seeking an Mechanical Supervisor to oversee Mechanical operations on a large-scale Data Centre project. You will have the responsibility of supervising and coordinating the construction activities of various subcontractors, foreman and chargehands. A fantastic opportunity to supervise & guide site personnel to ensure completion of duties to company quality standards.

Roles and responsibilities

• Carry out weekly toolbox tasks
• Carry out weekly reports on progress and issues
• Liaise and co-ordinate site activities alongside other trades
• Prepare two weeks look ahead for upcoming works
• Ensure the labour requirements are met and maintained as per project program requirements
• Ensuring the quality of the works is maintained at a high level
• Ensure that the sub-contractors are working as efficiently as possible
• Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to line manager
• Ensuring all the plant materials onsite are as per agreed specifications
• Ensuring all delivered materials are coordinated and stored in a safe and secure manner
• Ensuring all sub contractors plant and access equipment is certified and in good working condition.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Ability to maintain good customer relationships with other contractors whilst working on site
• Knowledge of mechanical systems pertaining to data centre environment
• Data centre experience is preferred
