Contract Manager

My client, a main contractor (Partnerships) who build complex HA projects across Peterborough & Leicester are looking to hire an experienced Contract Manager to run multiple schemes across the region

The ideal candidate will have experience within a contract manager role running large & logistically challenging multi-phased schemes whilst working within a tight & fast build programme whilst delivering on quality within budget and on time for thier clients (Local councils and Housing Associations)

Duties,

  • Contract Manager whilst reporting to the Area Build Director
  • Responsible for multiple phases,all productions teams, sub-contractors and trades and labour
  • Pre-construction work for projects
  • Chair meetings with the client Liaising (HA)
  • Ensure all sub-contractors are working in line with build programmes and all work is checked.
  • Responsible for multiple production teams including recruiting new staff
  • Responsible for all non-conforming subcontractors
  • RAMS
  • Providing clear direction to the construction teams regarding responsibilities and targets
  • Ensuring projects are completed are completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
  • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
  • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
  • Training and support of production teams
  • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
  • Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site

Qualifications,

  • Previous experience within new build, volume build, local authorities
  • Proven experience of managing a full site team
  • Experience of pre-construction stages
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS, Black
  • First Aid
