Role: Finance Assistant

Location: London - 4 days in office

Salary: £30-35k + study support & benefits

This is a high-growth and private equity backed utilities business based in central London. The group offer various services including energy supply, compliance and construction to the UK sector.

Due to some recent acquisitions and expansion, they are now looking to hire a bright Finance Assistant (Accounts Assistant) to join their department. This role will be based 4 days in the office.

Role

The Finance Assistant for this expanding utilities and energy business based in London, will work closely in supporting the Management Accountant and Finance Reporting Manager in handling day-to-day activities. They will take on a range of responsibilities including:

  • Assist the Management Accountant with month-end procedures and preparation.
  • Manage aspects of the Accounts Payable function including setting up new vendors.
  • Coding and posting invoices onto Navision.
  • Raising intercompany invoices.
  • Manage daily bank postings and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage weekly payment runs including supplier payments and employee expense payments.
  • Assist with month end reconciliations.
  • General ad hoc duties as and when required.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Finance Assistant position based in London, should have the following attributes:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting capacity.
  • Strong technical experience in Accounts Payable & Receivable as well as supporting month-end journals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident in Excel.
  • Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification / AAT qualified.
  • Experience with Navision is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

£30,000 to £35,000 plus benefits including:

  • Study support package

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
