Salary: £45,000 - £47,000

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead technical projects in the M25 up M1 region, ensuring the successful delivery of fire and security systems in school and construction environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of fire and security systems installation and integration projects in the M25 up M1 region
  • Provide technical leadership to the project team and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to understand project requirements and provide innovative solutions
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project scope and installation requirements
  • Train and mentor junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and project delivery capabilities
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget project completion
  • Respond to technical issues and provide troubleshooting support as needed
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management
Qualifications
  • Multiskilled engineer with advanced knowledge and experience in fire and security systems installation and integration
  • Proficiency in Apollo, Bensta, Pyronix, Gallagher, and Galaxy systems
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects in school and construction environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in the fire and security industry
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
Day-to-day
  • Lead and coordinate project team activities to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Perform hands-on installation and configuration of fire and security systems
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and assist with technical issue resolution
  • Conduct regular project progress meetings and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in fire and security systems
  • Execute projects within established timelines and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards
