Legal Counsel Construction

Over the last 30 years our client has gained a reputation as a world leader in creating not just buildings, but thriving places, where communities, as well as businesses, flourish. They are the developer of the largest urban regeneration project in Europe changing the face of London’s skyline

The successful candidate will support the Senior Legal Counsel on a broad range of construction projects, contracts and contentious matters. The role will include:
  • Negotiating, drafting and collating construction contracts and similar legal documents.
  • Managing the construction due diligence process in respect of financings.
  • Dealing with early stages of construction disputes.
  • Developing key internal relationships.
  • Update other internal lawyers to ensure awareness of all issues that may impact associated legal or transactional work.
  • Overseeing external counsel.
  • Awareness and escalation of construction related risk and reputation issues across the business.
  • Dealing with day-to-day construction related legal issues which may arise.
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Minimum 3 years' PQE, ideally with construction legal experience.
  • A sound proven basis in construction law and building development projects is required.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proactive commercial problem solving approach.
  • Must be a team player with a willingness to help others.
  • Flexible, organised and calm approach to work is essential, with the ability to work under pressure.
SALARY: £80,000 + package
