Remuneration: £25,000 - £28,500 + Company profit related bonus

The role of the Technician - Civil Engineering will involve:

• Civil Engineering Technician position dealing with a high end range of geotechnical products
• Reading drawings, quantifying materials and preparing outline quotes
• Generating technical proposals, construction drawings and bespoke details, including the use of BIM
• Working closely with the Area Engineers and Sales Team, responding to incoming phone calls and generating quotes
• Undertake engineering designs and design proposals using AutoCAD design software
• Participate in the creation of technical tools/ presentations etc and assist the technical teams on site visits/ technical presentations where required
• Provide technical support to the operations of the construction teams
• Work closely with Area Engineers to promote geotechnical engineering systems
• Working on projects ranging in value up to circa £1,000,000

The ideal applicant will be a Technician - Civil Engineering experience with:

• Must have AutoCAD experience within the civil engineering / construction market sector
• Ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of civil engineering products such as: reinforced soil walls, geomembranes, erosion control, drainage geocomposites, geogrids etc
• Would also consider Architectural Technicians, Mechanical Engineering, CAD Designer, Design Engineer & Design Technicians etc
• Willing to learn, full product and software training will be provided
• Accurate and detail focussed
• Personable with good telephone manner and strong written communication
• Positive approach to customer service/ client support
• HND/ HNC/ Degree industry related qualification would be highly advantageous
