Our client who is within housing and construction services is looking for a Senior Health & Safety advisor to join the team on a fixed term contract asap.
As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll be part of the Health & Safety team and be involved in supporting our Operations and Property Services teams.
You’ll help assure compliance with H&S legislation, company procedures and best practice.
As a minimum you’ll need to have NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
Also need a full current driving licence with your own transport to be able to travel between sites around Hampshire.

Ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation, company procedures and industry best practice

Provide competent advice and assurance to management to remain compliant in all areas of H&S

Support the continuing development of H&S strategy, procedures, initiatives and the implementation of action plans

Undertake inhouse audits, H&S inspections and accident investigations
To be suitable for this role you must have the following skills and experience…

NEBOSH General or Construction certificate

Extensive knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations

Working knowledge of other applicable H&S legislation

Understanding of a buildings construction, materials used, processes and knowledge of tools and activities involved in their build/ maintenance

Accident investigation and report writing

Lead by example promoting good H&S practices and challenging poor practices
