Setting out Engineer, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. Temporary, 3 Month contract.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Setting out Engineer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the execution of water engineering works.

The project is located near the Argyll & Bute town of Tarbert.

The role is predominantly Setting Out Engineering and supporting the Site Manager with setting out of excavations, structural bases, pipelines etc. Daily site inspections and maintenance of registers.

Surveying and Setting Out

Conduct site surveys, set out construction works, and ensure all measurements and levels are accurate.

Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards, ensuring all work complies with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:-

Experience as a Site Engineer in the civils and groundworks sector, ideally with experience in water orrenewable energy projects.

Education Ideally a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

Skills: Proficiency in surveying instruments and software (e.g., Trimble S7, Total Station, AutoCAD). Strong problem-solving and communication skills.-

Certification: Relevant engineering certifications and a valid CSCS card.-

Location: Willingness to be based in or travel to the North West of Scotland (approx 2.5 Hours from Glasgow).
