An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, to join our client, an international contractor who is well known for delivering major rail and highway infrastructure projects in some of the most challenging and restricted of environments.
The successful candidate will be working on a £200m visual impact provision scheme in Snowdonia. The project intends to remove 3km of overhead power lines from the Dwyryd Estuary and put them in a new underground tunnel – mitigating the impact of their appearance on the natural surroundings.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in a major project which is expected to complete in 2029 ensuring security and longevity of work in the area.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:
* Develop commercial skills to proactively contribute to the commercial success of the business.
* Prepare stand alone sections of applications and reports.
* Review incoming accounts and correspondence and react accordingly.
* Manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations.
* Agree a personal development plan and deliver objectives.
* Contribute to the development of subordinates.
* Carry out commercial tasks and present results in an orderly and accurate format.
* Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
* Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject.
* Preferably qualified or working to an CICES or RICS accreditation.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* A strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry.
* Good command and communication of oral and written English.
* Good knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
* Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office
Salary and benefits include:
* £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
