An exciting opportunity for a Sub Agent, to join our client, an international contractor who is well known for delivering major rail and highway infrastructure projects in some of the most challenging and restricted of environments.
The successful candidate will be working on a £200m visual impact provision scheme in Snowdonia. The project intends to remove 3km of overhead power lines from the Dwyryd Estuary and put them in a new underground tunnel – mitigating the impact of their appearance on the natural surroundings.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in a major project which is expected to complete in 2029 ensuring security and longevity of work in the area.
As a Sub Agent you will:
* Review weekly plant, labour and material returns to identify areas of variance from planned usage. Provide reports to line management identifying the reasons for the variance, including action plans to reduce wastage and improve positive variance.
* Manage all subcontractors within area of responsibility to ensure compliance with project requirements. Chair and produce minutes for weekly meetings with each subcontractor.
* Maintain a detailed knowledge of subcontractors’ scopes of work. Maintain a detailed knowledge and records of site progress, including details of any potential variations. In conjunction with commercial team, critically assess subcontractor records, applications for payment and variations
* Manage all works, including subcontractors, within area of responsibility to ensure compliance with all legal, company and project health, safety and environmental requirements.
* Ensure that all required temporary works documents, including briefs, designs and method statements / risk assessments, are produced and approved in accordance with the programme and prior to works commencing
* Liaise with client, designer and third party representatives as required, including maintaining appropriate written records.
Our client requires a Sub Agent with:
* HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a similar position for a civil engineering contractor
* SMSTS, CSCS card.
Salary/Benefits:
* £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
