Assistant Engineer

Our Northern Home Counties Division is looking to recruit an Assistant Engineer to join the Division’s Technical team. The Role The role of Assistant Engineer will be responsible for providing assistance to the Engineer/Senior Engineering team in the management of a number of developments and will be expected to support with the preparation of all relevant engineering information to a high degree of accuracy and to deliver on time. Principle accountabilities of the role include: Work alongside senior team members to gain relevant experience in day-to-day duties Provide engineering and technical support to the technical department Assist in the control and co-ordination of all engineering information between external consultants and internal departments Assist with acquiring existing services plans Assist in the procurement of proposed services to serve new development sites Assist in the production of site constraints plans Assist in issuing drawings to both internal and external parties Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working with AutoCAD is desirable Qualifications and Training Qualification in a Construction / Engineering subject with relevant experience, or be working towards achieving a relevant accreditation CSCS card or equivalent Current full UK driving licence Skills and Aptitude Strong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detail Ability to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
