System Support Analyst

There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Group Head Office located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a System Support Analyst. The Role The role of System Support Analyst reports to the Head of Development and will manage and provide second line system support for the business’ COINS system. Principle accountabilities of the role include: As a system expert, be the second line of support for COINS. Provide support as required to Divisional Super Users and enable them to manage and resolve issues with COINS. Develop a strong working knowledge of COINS to support the existing and future business. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and issues, determine root cause and appropriate solutions. Escalate faults and issues as required. Deliver system administration of COINS, including, but not limited to user maintenance, access rights and system changes Manage and maintain the Central Data Repository, including additions and amendment of records Monitor and maintain the IT Service Desk Solution, provide performance data and develop the use of this solution within the business Support, assist and undertake migration and testing activities for system changes, service packs and future upgrades of COINS Support, assist and undertake migration and testing activities for process changes relating to COINS. Review and monitor Service Packs as released and co-ordinate any required testing Monitor replication processes from COINS to SQL database and fix issues as they occur Ensure highest level of data integrity for all data aspects of COINS Assist in the development and maintenance of any existing or potential integrations from COINS with other Bellway systems Support and maintain third party products relating to submissions to HMRC and other bodies Carry out any other reasonable tasks in accordance with business need Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience working with systems support and administration experiences Experience working with SQL query tools and databases Experience of working on business change projects Qualifications and Training ITIL Foundation Certification Good knowledge of SQL and knowledge of other query tools Advanced Excel skills are desirable Additional IT professional qualifications such as BCS Diploma etc. are desirable Power BI experience is desirable Skills and Aptitude Working knowledge of accounting/ERP software Good understanding of information technology and relational databases Ability to query data using SQL Good communicator with the ability to understand operational sensitivities Customer service ethos and ability to work with customers to solve problems A problem solver with a good analytical mind to think through problems and arrive at appropriate solutions Focus on meeting deadlines and willing to “go the extra mile” to ensure that compromises are not taken in the achievement of deadlines Enthusiastic, good team player and with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to work cross functional to ensure the needs of all stakeholders are met Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.
