Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer
£33-35k DOE + Car + Overtime
North Hampshire, Berkshire

Our client is a worldwide market leader in access solutions across a wide range of sectors. Within the hospitality sector, they have a requirement for a Field Service Engineer whose patch will be Southern England in the main. London and the Home Counties will provide much of the work so they are looking at a location that allows you to get in and out of London fairly easily but can also go the other way on occasion further down to the West Country hence North Hampshire and Berkshire as preferred locations

This role is a diverse role that needs not just an electro-mechanical aptitude and experience but also a decent IT aspect with some experience of networking as modern technology dictates. Some of the modern products are RFID driven but much of the older stuff is still electro-mechanical

This role isn’t just a service and repair role but will sometimes (not often) involve the commissioning of new systems either in new build hotels or on refurbishment projects.
As with any Field Service Engineer role, you will have good customer service skills responding appropriately to their needs.

Experience within areas such as automatic doors, barriers, security systems, perimeter access or other systems where a good broad electro-mechanical and IT experience mix is required would be ideal. EPOS and ATM field experience is also of interest.

• Previous field service experience in electro-mechanical field is required.
• Clean driving licence.
• Good customer support abilities
• Good understanding of network solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Our client is a very progressive organisation with technology constantly evolving and accordingly keeping staff trained up and understanding of new developments. They are also a very established and solid organisation.
