Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in turning customer requirements into technical deliverables, working closely with the Architecture team to improve our customers' platforms. You'll be the driving force behind this transformation, utilising your expertise with innovative technologies, including Azure, Azure AD, Office365 applications and Microsoft’s Power Platform. What you will be doing:

  • Collaborating and leading on technical aspects of pre-sales activities to conceptualise potential solutions.
  • Evaluating the effort and cost required for implementation.
  • Delivering and implementing infrastructure solutions within enterprise environments.
  • Following established project processes and procedures, producing documentation for proposals.
  • Interpreting high level architectures and working within a team environment to produce detailed designs to support implementation.
  • Assessing, integrating, and testing new hardware and software, from servers to networks, storage, and desktop environments.
  • Improving and maintaining the infrastructure environment, ensuring its reliability and supportability.
  • Offering support to third-line colleagues lending your expertise to solve sophisticated challenges.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in cross-functional technical teams in a project environment.
  • Terraform & Ansible are key
  • A track record of delivering infrastructure solutions at the highest quality.
  • Excellent documentation skills, capable of producing user-friendly documents and operational procedures for service desk personnel.
  • Extensive expertise in Infrastructure Management with hands-on experience in deploying and developing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly in Azure.

It would be great if you had:

  • Accreditation at a technical level (e.g., MCSE) with additional accreditations in other technology areas.

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent, hybrid 2 days onsite each week, 3 days WFH

Can be based in your closest Center of Excellence; Glasgow, Blackpool, Newcastle, York, Newport or Gosport
Security Clearance:
Either hold or be willing to undergo DV Clearance
